Google Earth is a program that was purchased by Google in 2004 from a company called Keyhole Inc. It maps the earth using imagery gained from satellites and aerial photography. Google Earth comes in many flavors - the free version for offer here comes with the Goole Pack which includes many handy programs that secure your pc and make it more userful.

Google Earth has risen some privacy concerns in the past due to it's ability to practically spy on property that isn't usually accessible to the general public. It can be used to look at full cities or using the zoom feature Google Earth will allow you to see the very gardens people are sunbathing in.

Google Earth has recently introduced a feature that allows you to see buildings in 3D, although only on select regions.

A MAC OS X version of Google Earth was released in Jan, 2006. The Mac version is stable but has no plus or pro version available. There is even a native port of Linux version.
